The crash happened at around 10:28 a.m. at the intersection of Port St. Lucie Boulevard and Southwest Kail Street. He was arrested after catching a flight to Orlando, according to state officials. A man was struck and killed Sunday night in South Daytona, according to the police department. The crash happened around 10:37 p.m. in the 1900 block of S. Ridgewood Ave. According to the South Daytona Police Department, Tommy L. Cox was hit by a vehicle and taken to Halifax Hospital, where he died.
