Crashes on both the 18 Mile Stretch of U.S.1 and Card Sound Road backed up all traffic heading into the Florida Keys for hours Friday morning into the afternoon. Two people were injured in a boat crash in Sanford on Sunday, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.  The crash happened around 6:38 p.m. at 5502 Old Geneva Road in Sanford. Firefighters in South Beach rushed to a smoky situation billowing from beneath a building. Miami Beach Fire Rescue units responded to the scene in the area of Collins Avenue and 16th Street, just before 5 p.m. Thursday. Officials said the flames sparked in an underground electrical vault.
