Deputies are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at a Brooksville motel on Wednesday night. A crash Thursday morning involving a motorcycle and a Toyota sedan left one person dead and disrupted traffic on I-95 southbound near Baymeadows Road. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was speeding southbound on I-95 just before 3 a.m. when it slammed into the back of the Toyota.
