A man in his 60s from Orange County was found unresponsive in his yard on Thursday. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says he was pronounced dead upon their arrival. A Bradenton man is under arrest for DUI manslaughter after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said he drove drunk and caused a fiery and deadly crash near West Palm Beach early Friday. A 13-year-old girl riding a bicycle in Brevard County was struck and killed Thursday afternoon by a vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on Aurora Road near Cecilia Street. The FHP said a Groveland woman was driving a 2013 Dodge Durango west on Aurora Road when the girl was trying to cross the street but was not in a crosswalk. A 7-year-old girl has died after a collision on Gazelle Drive in North Fort Myers. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 69-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Gazelle Drive Thursday afternoon. A man has died after he was shot by a Jacksonville sheriff’s officer Thursday. He has now been identified by JSO as 30-year-old Dejuane Aki Hayden.  Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said officers were conducting surveillance in the 2900 block of Justina Road around 4 p.m. when the incident happened. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Chief Alan Parker said officers watched three men, including Hayden, “flashing guns back and forth” and conducting drug transactions. FHP’s crash report states that at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, the SUV and semi-truck were traveling south on I-95, one mile north of CR-210; the SUV was in left lane, while the semi-truck was in the right lane.

Less than 24 hours after a tornado outbreak killed at least six people in St. Lucie County, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis visited the hurricane-ravaged county on Thursday. A Fort Meade Maintenance worker died early Thursday morning while clearing storm debris. According to Polk County, the worker was clearing roads around 5:45 a.m. from US 98. Authorities are investigating a drowning incident at a Pompano Beach home that left a child dead on Thursday.
