A man was arrested after pulling a gun on an Escambia County motel security guard, according to an arrest report. Gabriel Roberro, 42, is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon. The incident happened on Sept. 24 at the Relax Inn on Mobile Highway. According to the arrest report, the security guard said Roberro was first asked to leave the property on Sept. 23 by the owner. He then returned the next day and sat down in the sitting area.

A man died on Tuesday morning after he was hit by an SUV and an off-duty police officer while attempting to walk across the Arlington Expressway, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The agency said the crash occurred around 5 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Arlington Expressway, just before the Arlington Road overpass.
