Witness video shows the driver who survived dropping off an Interstate 95 ramp on Saturday near the Miami River in Downtown Miami. Good Samaritans helped the man to get out of a sports utility vehicle through the front window, which shattered on West Flagler Street, below two I-95 southbound ramps. The man walked away from the mangled SUV, just east of the West Flagler Street Drawbridge connecting the Downtown Miami and Little Havana neighborhoods. Two separate shootings on Jacksonville’s Westside Thursday night left a teen and woman injured, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police said the shootings happened 17 minutes apart from each other – the first one at 9 p.m., and the other at 9:17 p.m. In the first shooting, JSO Sergeant Dishman said officers arrived at a local hospital to meet the teen after the shooting had already occurred. The teen is “an adult male in his late teens,” Dishman said.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex early Friday morning. At 12:30 a.m., deputies were called out to the Tropical Manor Apartments on Jordan Road in Merritt Island regarding a “large disturbance.” Upon arrival, the deputies were told that a woman had been shot.
