A Panama City man was arrested after authorities said he sexually abused a young child in Parker. According to the Parker Police Department on August 8th, 39-year-old Victor Gonzales-Lazano fondled a 5-year-old female victim in her home. The victim said Gonzales also took inappropriate photos of her. Gonzales is facing two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under the age of 12. Fort Myers police are investigating a crash after a driver was speeding and lost control just before the Midpoint Bridge Friday morning. A knocked down light pole and a mangled gate right in front of the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens is the result of the crash. FMPD says the driver lost control of a Camaro after speeding on wet roads. Police say the driver was going westbound on Colonial Boulevard. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

The crash happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. when the driver of a white Hyundai sedan was going south in the northbound lanes in the area of Northwest 154th Street, according to FHP. A man in Ocala was arrested after being caught filming young girls at Walmart in early August. Officers arrested Joshua Gaines, 32, after responding to the Walmart on 2600 Southwest 19th Avenue Road on August 9. Security footage revealed that Gaines pretended to shop and used a concealed camera to take video of children. Gaines has already been trespassed from the Walmart since August 2023 for secretly recording young girls. Officers found a Go-Pro and two cell phones on Gaines.
