Teen struck by lightning in St. Petersburg dies

 A teen who was struck by lightning last month in St. Petersburg has died, according to the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office. Ashley King, 16, died at a hospital from injuries sustained on July 25 when lightning struck a popular banyan tree, officials said. Cape Coral man arrested on animal abuse charges resulting in dog’s death

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Cape Coral man accused of animal abuse that caused the dog to die.
