Man shot at Sarasota gun range, according to deputies

A man was shot at a gun range in Sarasota on Wednesday. Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said that they went to High Noon Guns at 4583 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota around 3:30 p.m. after a report of a man shot.  A Seminole man was arrested for the possession of child pornography and sexual activities involving animals. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested Robert Kalkofen, 44, Wednesday. A young daycare worker has been arrested after, police say, he confessed to sexually molesting a child. Fifteen-year-old Gavin Glenn is accused of molesting a little girl at the Giant Steps Daycare in Pompano Beach on July 19. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene in the area of 2900 N. Dixie Highway, Wednesday afternoon. According to deputies, the pedestrian was struck in Wilton Manors but was dragged by the train toward Oakland Park.
