Victim hospitalized after northeast Miami-Dade shooting

Miami-Dade police investigated a shooting Tuesday morning that left one person injured. It happened at around 10 a.m. in the 1400 block of Northeast 117th Street, just south of North Miami. The victim, described by police as a male, was shot in the leg and taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, police said. Police didn’t specify his age.  The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said two people have been shot at a restaurant in Brooksville. Deputies said the shooting happened on the 31000 block of Cortez Boulevard.
