 A bus caught fire along the side of Interstate 95 on Sunday. It happened near the exit for Interstate 595, next to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Homestead police are investigating after they said a 12-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the head at a home in Homestead. The shooting occurred Sunday in the 1800 block of Southeast 13th Street. According to Homestead police Capt. Fernando Morales, the boy was airlifted to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. No other details were immediately released. The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a man after he left the scene of a fatal hit-and-run early Saturday morning, according to troopers.
