The crash happened just after 5:20 p.m. on northbound Interstate 275 on the Pinellas County side of the bridge. Traffic cameras show a damaged guardrail and a silver sedan turned on its side in the construction area off the side of the bridge.

Two people were critically injured on Tuesday night after their motorcycle struck a government vehicle while fleeing from a traffic stop in Ocala. According to the Ocala Police Department, at around 11:15 p.m., a detective attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle near the 7-Eleven located at 917 N Pine Avenue. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 25-year-old man driving a southbound Infiniti Q50 lost control of his vehicle,crossed the median, and struck a guardrail. The Infiniti then re-entered the travel lanes, where it was struck by a Ford E250 driven by a 74-year-old man. The driver of the Ford was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The National Weather Service confirmed Wednesday afternoon that a tornado touched down in Hobe Sound around 10:30 Wednesday morning.
