A boy was injured after being struck by an SUV in St. Petersburg Saturday, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department. A semi-truck caught fire on I-75 on Saturday after pulling over due to a flat tire. According to a press release from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, the semi-truck, which was carrying eggs, caught fire near exit 246 in Riverview. HCFR said the fire appeared to start in the cab of the truck before spreading to the trailer and cargo. Responders were able to subdue the fire within 30 minutes, with exceptions of hot spots located in portions of the cargo.

A bicyclist was fatally struck by an SUV on Blackrock Road in Nassau County on Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Officials said at around 10:45 p.m., the SUV driver was headed north on Blackrock Road and the bicyclist was headed in the same direction to the outside of the lane near the fog line.
