A 47-year-old woman from Ocala died after a two-car crash in Ocala Sunday afternoon. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say an 18-year-old from Ocala was driving a sedan north on Pine Road, approaching the Hemlock Road intersection, just before 5:30 p.m. A 38-year-old man from Ocala was driving a sedan west on Hemlock Road, approaching the Pine Road intersection. A 59-year-old man from Gainesville is dead after crashing into a tree in Alachua County Sunday night. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the 59-year-old was traveling northbound on County Road 225 at around 11:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, the driver drove off the road and hit a tree. A bicyclist lost their life early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Greenacres.
