A 58-year-old Lehigh Acres man driving a dump truck died after a collision with an SUV along State Road 80 in Hendry County. Martin County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle they said was involved in a hit-and-run crash of a teenager.  A Pensacola father has been arrested after his 1-year-old boy drowned in a bathtub Thursday. Marc Basulto, 21, is charged with aggravated manslaughter involving the death of a child. A driver was killed in a police pursuit in St. Johns County at 5:20 p.m. Thursday. Marion County shooting: 1 dead, 1 detained in shooting outside North Marion Middle School, deputies say

One man has died, and another is in custody following a shooting in a Florida middle school parking lot, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the shooting happened near North Marion Middle School in Citra shortly before 7 p.m.  The suspect, 34-year-old Roderick Kelvin Watson Jr., was arrested and charged with second degree murder with a firearm and is being held with no bond, according to deputies.  The victim was identified as 32-year-old Joseph James Juarez Coles.
