A man is dead after a pickup truck collided with a bicyclist on CR-951 and 17th Avenue SW in Golden Gate on Tuesday night. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. where they said the crash involved a 44-year-old Naples man and a 49-year-old male cyclist. According to FHP, the bicyclist was critically injured after colliding with the pickup truck. The cyclist was reportedly taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries.

A man was arrested on an attempted murder charge Tuesday after Lake Wales police said he took out a knife and stabbed a person in the neck during a drug deal. A man has been arrested after deputies say he attacked a nurse at HCA Palms West hospital in Loxahatchee on Tuesday.
