One person is dead after a domestic incident escalated to a barricaded person in Villas, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Thursday. Lee County deputies responded to the area of Gorham Avenue and Fordham Street, Fort Myers. Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives on Sunday arrested a driver accused of hitting and killing a bicyclist before fleeing deputies in Pompano Beach. Eric Gray, the bicyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue paramedics. The Sheriff’s Office withheld further information about him, citing Marsy’s Law. A driver reaching triple-digit speeds, who engaged state troopers on a chase in two counties, is in critical condition Tuesday morning from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities say. Around 11:35 p.m. Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol said, troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2010 Toyota Corolla, for reaching 100 mph on southbound Interstate 75, near mile marker 153, in Charlotte County. A woman is dead after she was hit by a car Monday evening while walking near West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee, according to Tallahassee Police. The department said the fatal crash happened at 6:40 Monday evening near the intersection of Lorene Street and West Pensacola Street. A 65-year-old man was hit by a car and killed early Tuesday morning on U.S. 1 in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.  One person was killed and another was injured in a landlord vs. tenant shooting in Orlando on March 28, police said.  The shooting happened at around 11 a.m. in the 800 block of Dorado Avenue, according to the Orlando Police Department.
