Detectives are looking for information after an aggravated assault incident occurred over the weekend at DeLeon Springs, according to a Facebook post by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. The incident happened at a gathering in the woods off Apalachicola Circle and Spring Garden Avenue. A disabled and injured man was rescued after a large house fire erupted in North Fort Myers. The fire started early Sunday morning. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said field training officer Rachel Bauer-Fithian and Tyler Voege, a deputy trainee, saved the man who was trapped in a bedroom.
