A Florida woman found herself in a frightening situation after her vehicle drove off a runway and into a retention pond on Sunday. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says a little after 9 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a phone call from a frantic woman who said she had lost control of her vehicle, causing it to enter a retention pond at 70th and Hartford Street. The driver had found herself trapped in the vehicle as it rapidly began to fill with water.
