A man was arrested for fatally striking an 8-month-old on Saturday afternoon with his car after placing the baby in the street, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. JG, 20, was charged with aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide. Officials said that just before 11 a.m., an accident took place along Lenox and McDuff avenues involving one car, G, a woman, and an 8-month-old. The incident began when a fight broke out between G who was the driver, and the passenger.

The patient was located deep in the woods at Croom Motorcross on Saturday afternoon and was brought to a local trauma center for more treatment. Fire rescue crews teamed up with the Florida Forest Service and Withlacoochee Forestry Center rangers to remove the patient. An investigation is underway in Westchester on Saturday after a man was fatally shot by his landlord, officials said. The shooting took place at the 9400 block of Southwest 17th Terrace, where deputies found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says a sedan crashed along N. River Road in Sewall’s Point just before 11 a.m. on Saturday.
