Marion County and Ocala Fire Rescue crews responded to a house fire on Southeast 57th Avenue around 2:30 p.m. A 911 caller reported the fire started in the front bedroom. A pickup truck driver suffered a medical episode and crashed into a car, then a guardrail on I-275 in Tampa, officials say. The Florida Highway Patrol said this happened at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, where I-275 feeds into I-4 eastbound.   FHP says a 65-year-old Clearwater man driving a Chevy pickup truck hit a car in front of him, then the guardrail several times before becoming wedged between two traffic barriers.  The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Credit: FDOT  A major crash shut down all eastbound lanes of Bee Ridge Road near Tuttle Avenue on Tuesday afternoon in Sarasota. The crash happened at 11:35 a.m. on Bee Ridge Road at Midland Road. The road was closed to traffic between Midland and Worcester roads but has since reopened.  Traffic cameras showed multiple emergency vehicles blocking the roadway. An Okeechobee County deputy sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car while conducting traffic Monday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.
