The incident took place late Friday night along the 4400 block of Commercial Boulevard. Cameras showed the cruiser and another vehicle involved at the scene. A Leesburg man was arrested for battery after allegedly slapping the mother of his child during a custody swap of their child. An officer responded to a battery at 904 E. Magnolia St. around 8:50 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. A 71-year-old man was killed Friday when his own truck rolled over him, according to Florida Highway Patrol. According to the report, the man and his passenger were reversing out of a private driveway, but the truck wouldn’t shift into drive. A 12-year old was one of two people injured in a rollover crash on Friday night. According to the Fort Myers Police Department, officers attempted a traffic stop on a black sedan on Park Avenue and Second Street. The driver, 39, fled from officers during the traffic stop before hitting a car in the intersection. A gray sedan was seen flipped on its roof on the grass shoulder. FMPD says a 12 and 22-year-old had minor injuries and were transported.
