A kayaker who was found unresponsive by crews in the water near the Sanibel Causeway on Wednesday has died, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. HCSO said a truck was pulled from a pond near Coronet Road and Howell Road. One person was killed in a head-on crash in Brevard County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy accused of intentionally setting another teen on fire earlier this month in Marion County. An air conditioning unit sparked an apartment fire in Hollywood on Wednesday morning, according to fire rescue.
