An elderly man was killed in a tragic incident near his home in Terra Ceia Tuesday. Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Kenn Watson tells ABC7 that the incident happened at a home on Bayshore Drive near Liles Street. According to investigators, a 17-year-old girl was backing out of a private driveway there and her grandfather was in the driveway taking his trash out. A Zephyrhills man was seriously injured and later died after he collided with a truck while riding his bicycle. A man was found shot dead in a Broward County driveway late Saturday morning. Just before 12 p.m., the Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Fire Rescue were called out to a shooting near 2100 NW 28th St. in Oakland Park. When deputies arrived, they found Ammon Watson, 18, who had been shot dead in the driveway, BSO told CBS News Miami. Deputies quickly set a perimeter as BSO’s Crime Scene and Homicide Units investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Multiple people were wounded in a shooting Sunday at a McDonald’s in Carol City, Florida, according to reports. The shooting happened Sunday night at the McDonald’s location at 4686 NW 183rd Street, according to IMUD News. Several rescue units were dispatched to the scene, the outlet reported. Two JEA line workers were hurt Tuesday in an incident that knocked out power to parts of the University of North Florida’s campus. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said the two workers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One of them was released from the hospital after a few hours. A shooting happened before a man was found dead inside a pickup truck on the side of the Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade on Monday, according to police. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman Tuesday morning for allegedly driving under the influence. Andrea Godinez, 57, was reportedly driving under the influence around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. LCSO made the traffic stop along McGregor Boulevard, north of College Parkway in Fort Myers. NBC2 crews on the scene say they heard Godinez screaming as an LCSO deputy put her in their vehicle. Crews also saw a damaged sign in the area. Godinez was arrested and is facing three
