Florida Keys deputy arrested on 19 felony charges

A Florida Keys sheriff’s deputy was arrested by her employer on more than a dozen computer crimes charges Wednesday, officials said. Humane Society of Greater Miami asks for help after 7 puppies abandoned at headquarters

The Humane Society of Greater Miami is asking for the community’s help. On Wednesday, seven malnourished puppies were found abandoned on its shelter grounds in North Miami Beach. 11 workers arrested in crackdown on suspected illegal massage businesses in Collier County

Eleven workers were arrested Tuesday after an operation was conducted at multiple suspected illicit massage businesses in Collier County. Inspectors with the Department of Health assisted in the operation, and all 10 businesses reportedly failed inspections. The DOH opened 20 legal cases and issued four cease-and-desist orders; two orders are pending. A woman was killed as she was crossing the street in Deltona on Tuesday night, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.  The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Howland Boulevard and Lake Helen Osteen Road in Deltona.  The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was trying to cross the street when she was hit by an SUV, deputies said. Man stabbed in neck, back while waiting for Uber in Cocoa Beach: Police

A man was arrested in Cocoa Beach after he allegedly stabbed another man who was waiting for an Uber, police said.  On July 28, deputies responded to the Dirty Oar Beer Company after a man had been stabbed several times. The man had been eating out with his family and was attempting to order an Uber in Cocoa Village when Jeremy Moore became verbally aggressive, an affidavit shows.  Moore reportedly attacked the man from behind, stabbing him in his neck and back.

Police provide update on four dogs abandoned in Port St. Lucie, three now recovering

The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said four dogs were abandoned on July 10 at a spot along Northwest FPL Drive. After the dogs were dumped, police noted in the video the dogs chased after the SUV that left them. By the time help got to the dogs, one of the pups had already died.
