Cortez Bridge reopens following crash that damaged pedestrian barrier

The Cortez Bridge has reopened after shutting down early Wednesday morning due to a vehicle crash.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, only one vehicle was involved in the crash, and nobody was injured.

Troopers say the vehicle struck the concrete pedestrian barrier. FDOT is at the scene fixing the damaged barrier.

One lane will be blocked off for repair, which troopers say should only take a couple of hours.
