Crash near Marion County line kills 2 people, seriously injures 2 others

 A crash in Putnam County killed two people and seriously injured two others Thursday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, a Suburban was traveling south on State Road 19 near the Marion County line just before midnight. A van was travelling north on State Road 19, a mile north of the Marion County line.

The driver of the Suburban attempted to pass another vehicle when they collided with the van. The Suburban overturned, and the van came to a final rest on the eastern shoulder.

The 21-year-old driver of the van and a child passenger under the age of one were killed in the crash. The 60-year-old driver and 62-year-old passenger of the Suburban suffered serious injuries.
