Cyclist dies after colliding with pickup truck on US 90 in Live Oak

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a 46-year-old man from Live Oak was riding a bicycle when he was hit and killed.

Troopers say around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, a pickup truck was headed west on U.S. Highway 90. The cyclist was also headed west in the bicycle lane.

Near Wood Avenue, the cyclist abruptly turned left into the pickup truck’s path, causing a collision.

The cyclist was taken to the hospital where he died.
