Deputies: Woman dead after falling into machine while working at Mosaic Plant in Polk County

Jameka Williams, 29, worked as a process operator at the plant, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman died Friday after falling into a machine at the Mosaic plant located in the Bradley area, south of Mulberry.

Deputies are investigating 29-year-old Jameka Williams’ death as an industrial accident-related death, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

According to a YouTube short posted Saturday by Sheriff Grady Judd, Williams was a process operator for Mosaic. She was reportedly on a piece of machinery before slipping and falling into it.

In the video, Judd said emergency crews were still working to get Williams out of the machine.

“We’re thankful for Mosaic,” Judd said in the video. “They’re working with us, doing everything they can as we want to return her to her loved ones as soon as possible.”
