Dog, 2 birds rescued from house fire in Spring Hill, HCFR says

Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire call on Sunday afternoon in Spring Hill.

Crews responded to the 6100 block of Belkton Ave. after bystanders reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the roof.

Nobody was home when the fire broke out and there are no injuries, according to HCFR.

A dog and two birds were rescued by fire crews and are safe.

HCFR says they believe it was an electrical fire.
