A crash took place in Taylor County Monday night, leaving one man dead after he was ejected from his vehicle, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash unfolded around 10 p.m. Monday, FHP wrote in a press release.
FHP said a 59-year-old Perry man was traveling north in a SUV on Beach Road when it crossed the center line into the southbound lane. A 36-year-old Steinhatchee man was traveling in a pickup truck in the southbound lane, at that time and veered off to the shoulder to avoid the crash.
The front of the SUV hit the front left of the pickup truck causing the 59-year-old driver to be ejected and the vehicle to flip onto its passenger side, according to the press release. The 36-year-old has minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted in the investigation by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and Taylor County Fire Rescue.
