A woman was killed in a car crash Saturday morning in Southport, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
Authorities said around 9:50 a.m., the woman was driving a car westbound on New Church Road. They said another car was heading south on Kingswood Road, passing through the intersection of New Church Road.
Troopers said the woman did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection, crashing into the other car. They said the first car then flipped over several times and ended up upside down laying on its roof on the side of the roadway.
The second car reportedly spun off the road into a nearby ditch.
Officials said the 69-year-old woman driving the first car sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. They said the driver of the other car, a 63-year-old woman also from Panama City, did not sustain any injuries.
