The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic crash involving a Calhoun County sheriff’s deputy.

A 44-year-old Calhoun County sheriff’s deputy, driving an unmarked black pick-up truck, was heading west on Highway 20, on the east side of Blountstown.

Another pick-up truck, pulling a boat, was sitting in the southbound lane of Mason Road.

State troopers said the pick-up driver turned left into the on-coming sheriff’s deputy. Paramedics took both drivers to the Calhoun Liberty Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
