Florida’s Turnpike reopens in St. Lucie after early morning semi-truck fire

All lanes are back open on Florida’s Turnpike in St. Lucie County after a semi-truck caught fire on Tuesday morning.

A little after 4 a.m. Florida 511 reported that all lanes on Florida’s Turnpike south were closed due to a vehicle fire.

According to the traffic site the fire was past exit 152 and near Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce.

Video from the scene shows the semi-truck engulfed in flames and smoke as fire crews rush to the scene.

At this time it’s unclear if there were any injuries or fatalities.
