Hialeah supermarket destroyed in fire

A fire erupted Sunday night at a supermarket in Hialeah, destroying the store.

The Hialeah Fire Department confirmed the fire occurred around 8 p.m. at Nacional Supermarket, located at 5400 Palm Ave.

According to first responders, the supermarket was closed at the time and no one was injured.

Sky 10 flew about the scene Monday morning, which showed that the roof was nearly entirely destroyed.

The inside of the supermarket also appeared to be completely charred.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
