A home was destroyed by a structure fire along Blake Street in Fort Myers early Saturday morning.
According to the Fort Myers Fire Department, Fort Myers police officers arrived first and found the home engulfed in flames.
Firefighters arrived minutes later at 2:26 a.m., began to fight the fire and discovered three dogs in crates, bringing them all to safety.
The three occupants inside the home were able to escape before firefighters arrived, and crews were able to extinguish the fire.
FMFD says the fire was determined to be caused by smoking.
While no injuries have been reported, the house was left no longer livable by the flames.
