A Georgia man is dead and another man is injured after a crash on Interstate 75 in Alachua County late Tuesday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the Georgia man was traveling northbound on I-75 near mile marker 405 just after 10 p.m. He drove his sedan into the median and hit a guardrail and went back onto the roadway.
A pickup truck was also travelling northbound and hit the sedan. The driver of the sedan died, and the driver of the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The northbound I-75 lanes in the area were closed while FHP investigated the crash. All the lanes have since reopened.
