Late-night interstate crash in Baldwin County claims life of Fairhope man

A 35-year-old Fairhope man has died after a single-vehicle crash occurred at around 1:10 a.m. on Saturday.

Andrew Harrison was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a ditch.

Harrison was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Harrison was attempting to elude a Baldwin County Sheriff’s Deputy at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred on Baldwin County 9, approximately five miles east of Fairhope.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.

No further details have been released.
