Man, 19, dies after being shot in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood

Police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood early Thursday morning.

Miami Police responded to reports of a shooting around 1:15 a.m. in the 190 block of Northwest 67th Street, where they found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim died from his injuries, police said. His identity hasn’t been released but police confirmed he was just 19.

“According to our homicide detectives, they did in fact confirm that the 19-year-old male victim who was shot and killed at the location was in fact outside when this shooting happened. They’re still investigating trying to determine if it’s going to be one shooter or multiple shooters. This is part of the ongoing investigation,” Miami Police spokesperson Kiara Delva said. “Our detectives are on scene trying to collect as much evidence as possible and speak to as many witnesses as they possibly can.”

NBC6 cameras captured the ongoing police investigation at the scene, as the surrounding area remained blocked off.

Officers responded to a home around the block but no one was found inside.

Details regarding the shooting or potential suspects have yet to be disclosed by the police.
