Man accused of stabbing doctor, leading deputies on chase makes 1st court appearance.

 A Florida man accused of stabbing a doctor and leading deputies on a high-speed chase made his first appearance in court on Saturday.

Nicholas Parchesco, 28, is scheduled to make another appearance on April 1, 2024.

The incident occurred on Oct. 4, 2023, at 4:20 p.m. Deputies from the Jupiter Police Department say they received a 911 call about a stabbing that occurred at Jupiter Pediatric Associates.

According to the arrest report, Parchesco entered the office, grabbed the victim from behind and stabbed the doctor multiple times in the head, face and abdomen.

Through witness reports of the incident, it was learned that Parchesco had known the doctor and his family for over 10 years.

It was also learned the Parchesco had assaulted the doctor once before. The report states, on April 18, 2023, Parchesco entered the doctor’s office and punched the victim several times in the head.

The report continues that since the incident in April, Parchesco had targeted the doctor for unknown reasons.

Following the attack Parchesco led deputies on a high-speed chase on I-95 in Indian River County. Deputies were able to slow Parchesco down and he was taken into custody. He faces an attempted first-degree murder charge.
