A man was hospitalized after a shooting at an apartment building in a gated community in Oakland Park Monday morning.
Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded shortly after 1:30 a.m. to the community in the 4100 block of Northwest 21st Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, the deputies found a man who’d been shot. Paramedics brought the man to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Deputies were seen surrounding and closing off one of the apartment buildings with yellow crime scene tape. A detectives was seen going in and out of a second floor unit.
Officials haven’t released the man’s identity or condition, but said the shooting is under investigation.
