A man intentionally drove through the front doors of the Martin County Jail in Stuart on Monday night, the sheriff’s office said.
The suspect drove up the walkway from the parking lot and proceeded to crash through the glass doors to the lobby, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said.
Photos show the front of the car inside the lobby, the glass doors broken and shattered.
The sheriff’s office said the man was not able to get through to the steel security doors further inside.
The driver was taken into custody, MCSO says.
This is a developing story.
