Man rushed to hospital after shooting in northwest Miami-Dade

Police in Miami-Dade County are investigating a shooting.

It happened at approximately 9:15 p.m. Monday in the area of the 2200 block of Northwest 28th Street.

According to police, officers responded after receiving reports of a person being shot.

When they arrived, police said they found a man in his 40s who had been shot.

Authorities said they rushed the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Police did not release any information regarding any suspects or persons of interest.
