Motorcyclist killed after striking vehicle making U-turn on Pasco County Road

A man is dead after striking another driver making a U-turn on a Pasco County road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

On Friday afternoon, a 53-year-old Wesley Chapel man in a Nissan Rogue was heading west on State Road 54.

At the same time, a 49-year-old Sneads man riding a Yahama YZF-R3 motorcycle was heading east on the same road.

FHP said the motorcyclist struck the the Nissan Rogue as the driver made a U-turn right in front of him at the intersection of Vandine Road.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to officials.
