Multiple crews are on the scene of an active fire on Mercantile Avenue in Naples.
Crews responded to 3681 Mercantile Ave. at 4:45 a.m. for reports of a single-story structure fire.
NBC2 is on scene and spoke with workers who were inside the Progress Rail – Caterpillar building at the time of the fire. Workers say no one was hurt and they don’t know how it started.
Crews with Greater Naples Fire, North Collier Fire, Naples Fire Rescue and Collier County EMS are actively battling at this time.
Greater Naples Fire says one firefighter was taken to the hospital because he was overheated.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
