A North Miami Beach man was arrested Tuesday after police said he threw rocks at the apartment windows of two of his neighbors.
Police said the first incident, at the Three Seasons apartment building at 16410 N. Miami Drive, occurred April 28.
The victim in that incident was inside his apartment when a rock was “violently thrown through his window,” an arrest report stated.
According to the report, the victim immediately ran out of his apartment and saw the door to the stairwell closing.
Police said the victim ran into the stairwell where he encountered Ronald Fraga, 26, who denied throwing the rock.
Police said Fraga was captured on surveillance video throwing a rock at another neighbor’s window on May 9, and running back to the stairwell, but the rock didn’t damage the window.
According to the arrest report, surveillance video also captured Fraga manipulating an elevator camera inside the building on May 6.
Police said he was taken into custody Tuesday and said he did not want to speak with detectives without his legal team being present.
According to the report, Fraga is known to North Miami Beach police officers due to prior encounters and arrests.
Police said the homeowner’s association reported that the cost to replace the broken window would be more than $1,000.
Fraga is facing multiple charges, including shooting or throwing a deadly missile, attempt to defraud/offenses against computer users and criminal mischief.
A motive for the incidents remains unclear.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Fraga remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,500 bond.
