One dead after wreck in Levy County, authorities say

A wreck on State Road 121 in Levy County caused one death and blocked all roadways.

The wreck, which left one dead, involved a pickup truck and van.

After the 41-year-old male driver of the pickup truck lost control driving north on State Road 121, he crossed over the center line and struck a van, which was traveling south.

The truck driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead on scene, while the van’s driver was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials.

It happened at 3:08 p.m. Tuesday just north of Southeast 28th Street on State Road 121.

All roadways have been cleared.
