A man is dead, and a woman is in critical condition after deputies say he shot his wife before turning the gun on himself Sunday afternoon in Naples Manor.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a home on the 5000 block of Hardee Street around 4 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a husband and a wife, both with gunshot wounds. The husband was pronounced dead at the scene, while the wife is now in critical condition at the hospital.
The identities of the victims have not been released; the sheriff’s office says this is an active death investigation.
