One man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Marianna late Saturday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a 40-year-old man was traveling south on State Road 71 just south of Jasmine Drive at 9:33 p.m. when he collided with a deer in the roadway and entered the northbound lane of State Road 71, just as an SUV was travelling north. The SUV was unable to avoid impact and collided with the motorcycle, rider and deer, with pieces of the motorcycle catching fire. The SUV traveled north of the area of the collision and came to a controlled stop in the roadway. Two passengers from that vehicle were transported to Jackson ER.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
