A woman was reportedly taken to the hospital after being trapped in her van following a rollover crash in Fort Myers.

Officials responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Edison Avenue and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard on Tuesday morning.

Reports say two minivans, one carrying juveniles, collided, causing one van to roll on its side. Firefighters reportedly extracted the driver through the windshield before transporting her to the hospital.

The extent of the driver’s injuries have not been shared at this point.

It appeared no one from the other minivan was transported, according to reports.

The intersection will be closed in all directions until the vehicles are removed. Florida Department of Traffic estimates it will take five hours to repair the light box.

Officials ask that you seek an alternate route.
